What do you mean,
you don't know what a beersicle is?!

Okay, we didn't either, till Jay told us about them. Which,
initially made us think it was a crazy, if not stupid, idea.
But, besides helping you cool off in a hot, smoky bar, they
really do grow on you.
How to make a beersicle:
Remember making those frozen juicesicles in your mom's ice trays
when you were little? Well, it's exactly the same, only this time
it's party-treat time for adults. If you're still in the dark,
or just need a refresher, read on!
What you'll need:
- empty ice cube tray
- beer
- toothpicks
- plastic wrap (be sure it's the good kind that will cling to itself!)
- practically no motor or mental skills (Jay still has
trouble carrying on a conversation while making these though)
Steps:
- Place empty ice tray before you
- pour beer into empty ice slots
- carefully, tightly wrap entire ice tray in plastic wrap
- punch a toothpick through plasic wrap into each ice slot.
Try to keep the toothpick vertical
- freeze
- remove plastic wrap (IMPORTANT!)
- remove frozen cube from tray, holding cube by the toothpick
And there you have it! A tasty, cool treat!
Have fun experimenting with different types of beer - ales,
lagers, red, etc. Some may freeze better than others.
Start a trend!
Next time you're out at a bar or club, ask the bartender for a beersicle. They won't have ever heard of them
the first couple of times, so you'll have to explain, but get enough people asking about them, and soon everyone
will be sucking on the dance floor! (beersicles, that is). Tell the bartender that other bars are making them and
selling them for 50 cents apiece. Make sure yours are always free for starting the trend.
